Description: 

San Diego Powder & Protective Coatings is a fast-paced, family-owned coatings contractor with over 25 years of experience and a workforce of 75+ skilled professionals serving both military and civilian clients. We are seeking a highly motivated Powder Coater. This position involves performing industrial coating applications to support the preservation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of parts, including naval vessels and marine support equipment. 

 

Work Schedule & Compensation: 

  • Schedule: Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 600 am- 2:30 pm, + Overtime, with occasional Saturdays (40-50+ hours a week) 
  • Overtime: Overtime and Saturdays are expected as workload dictates. 
  • Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE) 
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and annual performance bonus. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Primary responsibility is to apply various electrostatic coating systems to products. 
  • Coating systems include, but are not limited to, polyester, epoxies, FBE, pipe coating and thermoplastics. 
  • Calculate the coating thickness required through Product Data and apply the spray per requirements. 
  • Have common knowledge of machine Air & KV adjustments required for various coatings & processes. 
  • Have basic knowledge of the oven cure schedule by material thickness. 
  • Cleaning and maintaining powder equipment. 
  • Sanding, masking, and hanging products – threads, bearings, and machined surfaces. 
  • Moving racks in and out of sandblast, powder booths, oven and packaging area. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 18 years old, pass E-VERIFY authorization, and pass a pre-employment drug test. 
  • Prove a strong work ethic and consistent on-time attendance. 
  • Must be able to read and write in English and have basic math skills. 
  • Must be able to understand quality standards and adhere to specific written/drawing instructions and specifications. 
  • Must follow compliance and safety requirements/standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily.

Paint Department – Laborer

Description: 

San Diego Powder & Protective Coatings is a fast-paced, family-owned sandblasting and coatings facility and field services contractor in business since 1999. Serving San Diego and Southern California for over 25 years with a current workforce of 75+ dedicated employees operating from our 5-acre / 50,000SF facility. We are seeking a paint department laborer who can learn masking, sanding, and packaging, someone willing to apply themselves, be on time, reliable, and self-motivated. 


Work Schedule & Compensation: 

  • Primary Work Hours - Monday-Friday 6:00 am -2:30 pm + Overtime and Saturdays as customer and department demands require. 
  • Pay Range: $20-24/hr depending on experience & references

Responsibilities and Duties:

Key Skills for success and promotion include: 

  • Assist with surface prep, masking, taping, rigging, and clean-up.

Job Description

Title: Customer Service Representative

Employment Type: Full-Time position

 

Hours Of Operation: Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., overtime and Saturday work are expected as the workload dictates.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Description:

The customer service representative position has the responsibility of assisting SDPPC in a variety of functions. Including but not limited to:

-Primary responsibility with assisting customers in person, via phone call, and email correspondence

-Multi tasking is key in this role, it is not solely a “desk job” we are outdoors assisting customers, opening pallets, measuring items, providing pricing, and taking photos throughout the day.

-General housekeeping as required


Qualifications and Skill

Requirements:

-Must be at least 18 years old.

-Must be able to perform basic math skills

-Must be able to speak, read, and write in English (Spanish is a plus)

-Must have experience in Microsoft outlook, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Word (experience in Quickbooks is a plus)

-Ability to kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop, and lift up to 35pds

-Must be able to work in outside weather conditions (hot, cold, wet and/ or humid conditions)
